Arbitration clause

Model arbitration clause recommended by the Chamber of Arbitrators for inclusion into contracts:

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of theInternational Arbitration Court “Chamber of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers”.

There are additional possible agreements on:

(1)         number of arbitrators (one or three);

(2)         language(s) to be used in the arbitral proceedings;

(3)         substantivelawapplicabletothecontract;

(4)         substantive law applicable to the arbitration agreement;

(5)         substance of confidentiality rules imposed on the arbitrators, as well as their extension to the parties, authorized representatives, witnesses, expert witnesses and tribunal‑appointed experts.
