The Chamber of Arbitrators is happy to support Turkey Arbitration Week (TAW), that will be organized on 1-5 November by the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center.

TAW is a series of different events, held in streaming and related to international investment law and arbitration. TAW will bring together arbitration advocates, neutrals and academics from all over the world.

Through a programme which will run as hybrid sessions, you will have the opportunity to hear leading experts discuss and debate the ever-changing landscape of international dispute resolution.

We are glad to inform you that the Chamber of Arbitrators has signed the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge and will take appropriate measures to achieve gender equality in international arbitration.

Since 2016, the initiative has already received the support of more than 4,600 lawyers, arbitrators, arbitration associations, arbitration institutions, international corporations, third party funders, states (including Canada, Egypt, Panama, India, Malaysia, Palestine ), as well as the European Commission (in terms of resolving trade and investment disputes). Among them there are practically all the largest arbitration institutions in the world, for example, ICC, LCIA, SCC, VIAC, HKIAC, SIAC, DIS, ICDR, which in recent years have shown an increase in the representation of women in arbitral tribunals.

Note that at present 4 out of 10 members of the Board of the Chamber of Arbitrators are women. Out of 80 arbitrators from the Recommended List of the Chamber of Arbitrators, 35 are women.
